I've slipped a couple of times at work ... one gal jokingly and a little too loudly commented, "What are you guys, like, swingers?" once after I mistakenly mentioned something about my husband and then my wife in the same breath. Oh well. It's a daily balancing act. Acceptance comes reluctantly from society only after people like us patiently show the world we can be normal and better than normal.
